Our Organisation
Volunteer Youth Corps Inc. (VYC) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization in Guyana that has existed for 27 years providing quality health, education and social services to children and youth.
VYC was established on December 14, 1996, amidst growing concerns over declining healthcare services, particularly at Guyana's primary healthcare institution, The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
Initially, VYC began as a youth-led initiative, offering psychosocial support to patients mainly from low to middle-income families at GPHC.
